Allnet Distributing, the large Chicago-based custom integration-focused distribution company founded by former AVAD principal Wally Whinna, announced that it has opened an outlet in Carmel, IN, an area just outside of Indianapolis. The new location will take over responsibility for servicing the Indiana market which was previously handled out of the firm’s Chicago-area headquarters facility in Elk Grove Village, IL.

This new Carmel location marks the third distribution outlet for the company, which also has a warehouse in Troy, MI (outside of Detroit). The Carmel facility is 6,000 sq.ft. and includes a full warehouse, training center, and even a display area with many products on active display.
Allnet will distribute many of their top brands including: Bose, Lutron, Luxul, Nest, Sony 4K, URC, and Yamaha. Part of the Catalyst AV distributor group, Allnet’s Carmel facility will also include group brands, such as: Atlona, Definitive Technology, Dropcam, Elite Screens, IC Realtime, ICE Cable, Nest, Russound, TiVo, etc.
“We are happy to open a branch in this market so our customers can take advantage of our local seminars, technical service and have access to Will Call,” said founder Wally Whinna. “These are all key components that help integrators advance in today’s fast-paced environment.”
Whinna said that Allnet was particularly focused on launching training seminars for Indianapolis-based integrators. According to the company, as soon as January and February, they will launch training on Luxul, Lutron, and URC.
