AudioControl, the versatile specialty electronics manufacturer of high-performance products for both the residential and commercial integration channels, has announced it will show three CM Series amplifiers offering dual mode operation and Dante connectivity at the InfoComm 2024 show taking place this week from June 12 – June 14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

First launched in 2018, AudioControl’s CM series amplifiers continue to grow in popularity with commercial integrators. With a perfect blend of high performance, reasonable pricing, and the latest hot technologies, integrators everywhere are finding CM amplifiers nearly indispensable for flexible, affordable, system installations that work the first time and every time.
The three models being featured at this year’s InfoComm 2024 are further examples of why the line is so popular. With dual mode capability, GaN technology, three models with different channel configurations, truly engineered for integrators, and Dante connectivity – CM amps are ready for whatever system configuration the integrator needs for top system performance.
Dual Mode Capability Means You’re Ready for Anything
CM Series amps adapt to your needs with two modes of operation built-in. This means if your installation is a high-impedance 70-volt configuration…CM is your amp. Alternatively, if the system design calls for a 4Ω/8Ω speaker setup…again…CM is your amp.
Integrators appreciate this multi-faceted tool that is the perfect solution, regardless of system mode.
Going to Gallium Nitride to Raise the Bar on Performance
AudioControl was one of the first manufacturers in the industry to embrace Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors to raise the level of quality and efficiency in their products. Originally developed for use in challenging space, avionics, satellite, and 5G wireless applications, GaN technology brings a lot of advantages in circuit design.
“GaN transistors are faster and more efficient than classic silicon devices,” says Robin Mitchell of the website All About Circuits. GaN also delivers lower distortion and superior signal-to-noise ratios as compared to other semiconductor designs.
More Power to Ya’
AudioControl’s CM series amplifiers feature a unique architecture called Constant Power Mode, in which the company’s engineers sought to create an amp that can deliver more power with greater efficiency and better sound. Consequently, CM amps deliver 750 watts of power in 70-volt mode, 625 watts per channel in 8/6/4Ω mode (and, the company notes, are stable down to 2Ω loads), 1,500 watts bridged in 100-volt mode, and 1,250 watts when bridged into an 8Ω load.
What that means is that CM amplifiers are the perfect choice for an incredibly wide range of system configurations and alternative design architectures. All amps offer Dual Mode capability in which it can easily switch between 70-volt mode and 8/6/4Ω mode. Also, dual mode allows the amp to drive different channels in either mode simultaneously.
Being Shown at InfoComm 2024
- CM4-750: 4-Channel high-power Dual Mode DSP-enabled amplifier
- CM3-750: 3-Channel high-power Dual Mode DSP-enabled amplifier
- CM2-750: 2-Channel high-power Dual Mode DSP-enabled amplifier
Other features on CM amplifiers include full DSP and signal matrixing capabilities which allows the sound to be precisely adjusted for the unique characteristics of each zone individually. System setup is a snap thanks to the intelligently designed web browser interface giving integrators a logical, efficient, and easy set of controls for configuration on their favorite mobile device or laptop.
DSP-Enabled Flexibility; Dante Connectivity
Another unique capability of the CM Series is that AudioControl has built-in custom-created profiles of the individual speaker characteristics of most of the top speaker brands (such as Triad Speakers, Stealth Acoustics, Monitor Audio, James Loudspeaker, and more) further facilitating the process of getting the system optimized for the unique acoustic environment of each independent zone. The company calls this their Sound Partners Program and new brands of loudspeakers are being added all the time.
Finally, AudioControl has been leading proponent of Dante digital audio networking solution for several years now, and the CM series features Dante connectivity for full multi-channel digital media networking over category cable. Dante is rapidly expanding with over 600 supporting major manufacturers and more than 4,000 Dante enabled products available today. In 2023 alone, more than a million Dante enabled devices were shipped.
The CM Series amplifiers offer Dante-enabled drivers for Control4, Crestron, and Crestron Home platforms, with the ability to control 3rd party Dante sources, encoders, and other hardware.
