AVPro Global Holdings, LLC, parent company to growing technology brands such as AVPro Edge, AudioControl Pro, Bullet Train, Murideo, and Then Audio, announced today that it has named well-known industry executive Mike “Sparky” Detmer as its Chief Operating Officer. Detmar is well known to many in custom integration for his long stint at Niles Audio, part of Nortek, and once a pillar brand for many integrators across the country.
Now Detmer joins AVPro Global to help them scale their operations in support of their fast-growing residential and commercial integrator solutions business.

AVPro Global is on the fast track to growth thanks in part to the fact the company specializes in making great products that provide a hand-in-glove solution to many installation challenges that integrators face. And also, their growth is due in part to a pair of recent acquisitions, including AudioControl Pro and Then Audio AV distribution products.
‘To Lead and Scale AVPro’s Growth’
Now, Mike Detmer has joined the team as an experienced corporate manager who knows a thing or two about fast-growing businesses. Detmer will report directly to Jeff Murray, AVPro’ Founder and CEO.
The company says that Detmer’s role will be “to lead and scale AVPro’s growth and global business go-to-market teams, including sales, marketing, customer service, training, technical support, and new business acquisition and development.”
Mike has decades of experience in business acquisition and development, creating customers for life, scaling business processes, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace. As a consultant, Mike made a tremendous impact on our success and knows our business and culture well, which is why we are delighted to welcome him to the AVPro Global leadership team.

Executive Level Involvement in Key Audio Brands
Prior to joining AVPro, Detmer worked with the company as a consultant on various business issues, a role that began in 2023. Before that, he had worked for several years in the nautical coating business. This was a bit of a diversion, as the bulk of his career has been an executive-level involvement in key audio brands either as a direct executive employee or an outside consultant.
As I mentioned above, many know him from his time with Niles, both before it was acquired by Nortek, and for a period of time after acquisition. But Detmer has worked with a veritable Who’s Who of major brands – again, some as an employee and some as a consultant – such as Harman International, Krell, Elan, Definitive Technology, Infinity Systems, Polk Audio, Russound, SpeakerCraft, Stax, and Xantech.
