Azione Unlimited, part of the Nationwide Marketing Group family of dealer buying groups, announced this week that Brad Camp has been elected to the organization’s Board of Advisors. Unique to the world of buying groups, Azione not only places executives from the dealers who are members of the organization on their Board, but also seats executives from vendors and supporting service organizations.

One of the top custom integration-based buying groups in our industry, Azione Unlimited bills itself as The Smart Home Association™. It has approximately 300 members and is in the middle of a significant transition in the wake of founder Richard Glikes retiring and a search being conducted for a new Director.
For now, Interim Director Patrick McCarthy is keeping the group’s proverbial nose to the grindstone and normal operations are continuing. One of those normal operations is to refresh the group’s Advisory Board as terms expire.
Expiring Term Opened Up a Seat on the Board
After three years on the Board, Daniel Nilsson’s term has expired and he left the Board. The group says that Nilsson provided an “invaluable service” on the Board and his contributions “have played a pivotal role in advancing Azione Unlimited’s mission.” Azione highly commends Nilsson for his years of commitment to the group’s strategic path.
With Nilson’s term expiring, an election was held to fill the empty seat, and Brad Camp, Director of Business Development at OneVision, will step into the advisory role. Azione says Camp is “a seasoned industry professional” who possesses “a diverse background” that includes roles both as a dealer (Best Buy/LiveWire) and a vendor (OneVision). Thanks to this diversity of background, the group says Camp “brings a wealth of experience” to the Advisory Board.
Brad’s unique perspective and proven track record are immense assets to our board. His commitment to excellence and collaborative growth is exactly what Azione needs as we continue to innovate and lead in the custom integration industry.

The Difference Between an Advisory Board and a Board of Directors
It’s helpful to understand that an “Advisory Board” is different from a “Board of Directors.” In the case of the latter, Directors on a Board of Directors often have an ownership interest in the company and the Board has the power and authority to implement policies and generate directives for the organization to follow. In the case of the former, as its name implies, an Advisory Board only advises the Director but has no power to directly implement change.
Azione Unlimited has a twelve-person Board of Advisors which is broken down as six seats are held by members (dealers) and six seats are held by group-allied vendors & service companies. With this change, the current configuration of the Azione Unlimited Advisory Board is:
- Angie Larson – Savant GM, Professional Solutions
- Jeff Brewer – Sonance Vice President of Sales
- Ron Callis – One FireFly CEO
- Gretchen Gilbertson – Seura Co-Founder & CEO
- Brad Camp – OneVision Director of Business Development
- Bryan Mills – Mills Technologies Principal
- Kyle Steele – Global Wave Integration President
- Ryan McDaniel – One-Touch Automation President
- Nick DeClemente – Elevated Integration President
- Paul Ostrin – Unlimited Integration President
- Patrick McCarthy – Azione Unlimited Interim Director
