Crestron Invites You to Leave the Now, and Head to What’s Next: Crestron NEXT

Creston, one of the industry’s largest and most respected brands of control and automation solutions for the residential and commercial channels, is holding their Crestron NEXT virtual event next week – and it looks extremely interesting. Taking place over two days – September 15 & 16 (yes, during CEDIA’s virtual show), there are two versions: residential and commercial.

See more on why you should plan on attending Crestron NEXT…

Strata-gee has been watching Crestron closely, as the company has really stepped up their game in the residential channel…especially in the wake of the launch of their Crestron Home system solution. But we now know that was but the beginning – as the company has been a whirlwind of new product development for the residential channel.

First, in April, the company launched a handy Configurator for their Crestron Home system which allows integrators to quickly and easily pre-configure systems in their production facilities before they deploy teams to the client’s home. Then they followed this up with an announcement in early May that the company was making its return to CEDIA Expo (this was before it was canceled). Clearly, this was a signal to integrators that Crestron was back and ready to support and build their residential business.

Partners With Competitor Lutron; Then Zoom & Logitech

Then later in May, the company announced something that I didn’t think I would ever see – it was partnering with Lutron…a former competitor. This was incredibly good news to integrators who supported Crestron for AV networking and Lutron for lighting.

Even later in May, Crestron announced a partnership with Zoom and Logitech to address the now burgeoning work from home (WFH) market with a need home conferencing solution. This clever solution, called HomeTime took full advantage of the partnering companies expertise in better conferencing solutions. But wait…there’s more…

Then in August, the company launched Flex MM, a smart conferencing and collaboration tool that took full advantage of the company’s experience in corporate unified communications devices, but designed for what Crestron calls the Work From Anywhere market. Whew…that’s a lot of innovation.

Now Crestron NEXT Virtual Conference

Now at Crestron NEXT the company is holding an online, virtual conference in which they plan to share a ton of information and ideas on this new remote work/live/learn/play environment in which we all find ourselves – and for which the company is uniquely positioned to address. The company says it will share details on how it is addressing these new needs by transforming communication, collaboration and connection.

Crestron NEXT will include seminars, demonstrations, and interactivity with other folks interesting in pushing the industry forward to this new world. They promise to reveal all new products…and give you a peek at future technologies.
