Draper Inc., a major manufacturer of shades, projection screens, solar control solutions, and more, announced this week a move to build up its management infrastructure to support its push into the residential custom integration channel. As part of this process, it has promoted Chris Sitarov and Pat Herron from within to two new Director of Sales roles overseeing the company’s sales force.

Spiceland, IN-based Draper was founded in 1902, 120 years ago, and is a major player in the commercial/industrial channels with an extensive assortment of shades, projection screens, lifts and mounts and more. The company has targeted the residential CI channel with a whole new series of products optimized for the home environment.
As part of this effort, the company continues to build resources, such as its sales structure, to better optimize its approach. In order to drive that process, it has promoted two of its own to new roles overseeing its sales force for multiple categories, including residential sales.
Draper has promoted Chris Sitarov as Director of Sales, Eastern U.S. and Pat Herron as Director of Sales, Western U.S. Both had previously held Regional Sales Manager roles for the company.
Chris Sitarov joined the company back in 2019 as its architectural Regional Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic states. Sitarov has 16-plus years of experience that includes – appropriately enough – stints with manufacturers such as Somfy. He also held a role with a manufacturer’s sales representative firm. Sitarov is based in New Jersey.
Pat Herron joined Draper back in 2016 as its architectural Regional Sales Manager for Texas and Oklahoma. Herron’s career spans 26 years with experience in robotics/automation in machine tool design, sales, and product marketing, including dynamic glazing for shading solutions. Herron is based in Texas.
