Ft. Collins, CO-based CasaTunes announced this week that it has launched a new feature to better address their growing global business. This new feature is a call to Muslim Prayer feature, which will be very handy for end users in their growing Middle East business. A unique capability ignored by most system providers, this new call to Muslim Prayer support allows users to schedule and customize their personal call to pray.

This new call to Muslim Prayer feature is available on both their custom integrator-focused CasaTunes Music Server and on their DIY-targeted musicBox 6. Once set up, at the appropriate time, whatever music or programming that is playing pauses, and the system begins sounding the call to Muslim prayers. Once the call to prayer cycle reaches its scheduled endpoint, the system switches back to continue the programming that was perviously playing.
The whole call to prayer cycle completes with no end-user intervention…following the preset programming set up by the integrator or DIYer.
Meets the Needs of Middle Eastern Customers
The company decided to offer this Call to Muslim Prayer feature in response to increased demand for its whole house audio solutions from the Middle East – particularly in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to this, the company has recently signed with HDL Dubai as the CasaTunes distributor for the entire Middle East.
“We have been seeing a steady increase in demand coming from the Middle East as a result of our partnership with HDL and HDL Dubai,” said Steve Guerra, VP Business Development with CasaTunes. “Many customers in this region were asking if CasaTunes could automate support for Muslim prayers time announcement (Adhan), and to satisfy the needs of our customers, we developed the first multi-room audio solution with integrated Muslim call to pray support.”
A Robust Feature
This new Call to Muslim Prayer feature is more robust than you may imagine. It allows customers to:
- Select which rooms to play the call to Pray
- Select which day to enable or disable the call to Pray on a weekly schedule
- Select a different custom call to Pray for each daily prayer
- Provide fine-grain control over when prayers start
“We are extremely pleased that CasaTunes quickly responded to our markets request to develop the Prayer time and Adhan [call to Pray] announcement which allows our customers the flexibility to listen to the Quran or music and to accurately schedule prayer time every day,” said Mohamed El Bachtigui, Operations Manager for HDL Dubai. “Having Adhan built into the CasaTunes system give us a total solution for the Muslim community.”
Integrates with Major Control Systems
CasaTunes Music Server systems integrate with major home automation systems from Control4, Compass control, HDL, RTI and URC as well as popular AV Receivers.
