Two big announcements this month from the folks over at AVPro Global, one of the most kinetic entities in integration right now, show how important AV-over-IP is at the company. One announcement is the appointment of a new VP for the company, and the other is about the launch of a new AudioControl product that is really new – as in nothing like it ever existed in any form before now.
While big in commercial, AV-over-IP and Dante is still relatively new to many residential integrators. However, most think this category will grow in popularity on the residential side as more companies begin pushing their solutions.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based AVPro Global, the parent company of AVPro Edge, AudioControl Pro, Murideo, and more, announced this week that it has appointed Kevin (Jinghui) Wang as Vice President of the MXnet Systems Group. Wang was appointed from within as he joined the company back in 2020 as its VP of Product Development.
Wang heads up a newly-created specialized design and development business unit for the company. This new unit is charged with expanding the company’s MXnet AV-over-IP product line under the AVPro Edge brand. The company says that there is growing demand for AV-over-IP solutions, especially in the business & corporate, education, government, hospitality & retail, house of worship, medical, and high-end residential systems market segments.
New Division Focuses on Growing Demand for AV-over-IP Solutions
The company says this new division is an evolution “intended to better address the unique needs of these market verticals.” Reporting to AVPro co-owner and CTO Matt Murray, Wang will oversee all MXnet development initiatives, including its integration of AI-driven network optimization and cybersecurity.
Kevin is both a visionary and an accomplished implementer with the technical knowledge, marketing skills, and cross-functional leadership capability to accelerate our AV over IP expansion initiatives through the MXnet Systems Group. We are delighted to promote Kevin to lead the MXnet Systems Group team and are certain he will be instrumental in growing our AV over IP commercial results worldwide.

AudioControl Launches eTV
In a separate announcement earlier this month, AudioControl Pro, a division off AVPro Global, introduced an all-new product called eTV. Saying it’s a “first-of-its-kind solution for CI channel pros,” eTV is an eARC-to-Dante converter.
What eTV accomplishes is the ability to connect the stereo audio signal from a video display via eARC to any Dante-enabled device for easy distribution to any zone. Compared to other solutions, AudioControl’s eTV is a stunningly simple way for integrators to enable the distribution of TV audio, especially from TV Apps, synchronized across all Dante-equipped zones with no latency.
AV-over-IP Expertise Brings New Solutions to AudioControl Integrators
Another example of an idea that grows from the company’s burgeoning AV-over-IP expertise, this simple but logical solution is ultra-compact and PoE-powered for easy installation – the system even auto-discovers it once it’s powered up and connected for easy identification. Its diminutive form factor enables it to be easily hidden behind the slimmest flat-panel TV, volume control locally is handled by a regular TV remote, and on a multiroom Dante installation volume is controlled in other zones using any applicable third-party control platform.
The AudioControl Dante eTV eARC converter was developed in direct response to requests from AV integrators who are using eARC for more integrations and are looking for an efficient way to interface with Dante systems. With the addition of this innovative solution, AudioControl has enhanced the capabilities of the Dante ecosystem, enabling dealers to exceed client’s expectations by providing TV audio to any zone with startling clarity and effortless connectivity.

Maximum Audio Performance…Zero Installation Headaches
The company notes that signal transfer of the eARC audio signal remains in the digital domain, available to any networked Dante device. Sampling rates of 44.1kHz to 96 kHz in 16-, 24-, or 32-bit word lengths are converted into analog with zero impact on audio fidelity for richly detailed playback anywhere on the network.
The AudioControl eTV eARC-to-Dante converter will be available starting August 28th, 2024.
