Nortek, Inc. announced today the appointment of Scott Campbell to Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. A newly created position, the company says that the executive will be responsible for “creating, driving and implementing” an enterprise-grade, global supply chain strategy.
Campbell, 48, is said to bring more than twenty years of supply chain experience. He was most recently with SK Capital, a private equity company, where he is said to have led transformation efforts in revamping their supply chain.
Prior to SK Capital, Campbell was with W.R. Grace & Company as their vice president of global supply chain. Campbell also worked in supply chain management for Polaroid Corporation and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
“One of Nortek’s key strategic objectives is to drive growth and long-term profitability by capitalizing on cross-business synergies while, at the same time, continuing to foster independence and accountability in our operating segments,” Michael Clarke, Nortek CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Accomplishing this objective requires that we develop a center-led supply chain model with standardized policies and processes that drive efficiency, productivity and quality across the entire Nortek portfolio. The depth of Scott Campbell’s experience managing complex global supply chains makes him an ideal person for this role. We look forward to his transforming our supply chain function with leading-edge thinking as we migrate toward a shared services model.”
