Premium Audio Company, a division of VOXX International, this week announced two new Pioneer branded A/V receivers – the VSX-835 and the VSX-535 – that they say are feature-packed “Immersive Sound Audio Video Receivers.” Said to be targeted at home theater and gaming enthusiasts, these appear to be the first new Pioneer products for 2024.
Ignoring the Masimo noise swirling around them, portfolio brand Denon launches two new audio video receivers (AVRs) with impressive technology targeted for small-to-midsize spaces, such as dens, family rooms, home offices, and the like. With support for 8K video and 3D audio, these new models offer an unusual blend of performance and features at a moderate price making them perfect for alternative smaller format spaces needing a more modest cinema implementation.
Premium Audio Company, a VOXX company, announced this week the launch of an all-new, deeply featured Integra flagship audio/video receiver (AVR) to cap its remarkable DRX line first introduced in 2021. The new DRX-8.4 offers 11 channels of 150 watts of Integra symmetric class AB room-shaking power. C&E Marketing, a manufacturer sales representative firm based in Sunrise, FL announced last week that it has acquired the home AV division of Audio Video Representatives (AVR) based in Marietta, GA. C&E specializes in a wide range of custom integration lines, while AVR represents and distributes both mobile electronics and home AV lines.
Seattle, WA-based AudioControl announced Wednesday that it is launching two all-new AV receivers in their Concert AVR line featuring Dolby Atmos surround technology and 7-channels of high-current, high-power amplification. These new models, the AVR-9 and AVR-7, are expected to ship sometime in fourth quarter of 2015.
This past June at CE Week in New York City, Onkyo was one of two manufacturers (the other being Pioneer…now part of Onkyo) who were the first in the industry to announce new Atmos-enabled AV receivers. Atmos, Dolby Labs’ latest surround sound technology that adds innovations such as “height” speakers and sound “objects,” promises to deliver to consumers an all-new, in-home entertainment experience.
But not only did Onkyo succeed in being one of the first manufacturers to introduce the technology to the market in yet-to-be-delivered new products – it went one step further and announced that it would offer owners of certain existing Onkyo A/V receiver models the ability to upgrade to Atmos (Atmos-upgradable models) through a firmware upgrade by the end of the third quarter.
Audio Control – the U.S. manufacturer of a unique line of solutions for mobile, home, and industrial markets – announced at the end of February that it has launched two new audio/video receiver (AVR) models called the Concert AVR-6 and AVR-8. These two new models replace the existing AVR-4 with upgraded construction and new capabilities, including support for 4K Ultra HDTV and 3D.
